Coaching baseball hitters

When coaching baseball players to swing the bat, using the batting tee, on the field, will give the players a chance to see where they need to hit the ball for each position in the strike zone. Just hitting the baseball into a net gives you no feedback, and often results, for example, practicing hitting a ground ball to the shortstop. They should practice like Wee Willie Keeler said, “hit um where they ain’t.”
